Vidalia Names Teacher of the Year
Tuesday, 08 October 2013

October 8--  A native of Dusseldorf, Germany is the Teacher of the Year in the Vidalia City School System.

Bettina Linden teaches special education and German at Vidalia High School.

Principal John Sharpe says she brings a special passion for her students to the classroom.

"She loves her kids and comes to work excited everyday.  Her kids benefit and feel the love.  They come out challenged and enriched by being in her classrooom," he says.

Mrs. Linden has been at Vidalia High School for nine years and has great confidence in the ability of her special needs students to learn.

"I think that everybody can learn the same material.  You just have to find a way to present it to the different students.  Everybody learns diferently and has their way of learning," she notes.

Other teachers of the year in their schools are Susan Adams at J.D. Dickerson Primary School, Denni Delinski at Sally Meadows Elementary and Theresa Moore at J.R. Trippe Middle School.
