New Soccer Academy at Vidalia Heritage Academy
Wednesday, 17 July 2013

July 17—The Vidalia Heritage Academy has added a new sports program at the school. The Vidalia Heritage Soccer Academy is an opportunity for year-round soccer training for students of all ages as an extracurricular activity. Forty students are now enrolled in the Soccer Academy. The school has hired two coaches for the Soccer Academy, Drew Read and Jeremy Moore.

“ It has been going really well so far this summer. We have been working for the last three weeks, two times a week from 8am until 9am each morning with the boys and girls from kindergarten thru the 8th grade. Drew Read and myself have been working on just of a lot of technical and basic skills with the kids to help get them going.” Coach Jeremy Moore said.

“ The school is growing and in general I think the soccer program will be something that will help the school to continue to grow. The sport of soccer is becoming more mainstream and the kids are getting more interested in the sport. It is a great active activity for young kids that want to be running and be involved while they are playing.” Moore said.

“ I will be teaching Middle School Math and Bible which will be good because I will be teaching the kids that are playing soccer and will be able to interact with them a lot throughout the day as well as at practice.” Moore stated.
