July 9—ImageLocal young golfer Jackson Toole has been playing golf very well this year. Jackson competes on a number of Junior Golf Tours where he has been very successful. He has won 2 Ga. Junior events in Reidsville and Cordele at the state park golf courses. Toole has played in 3 Southeastern Junior Golf Tour events, in Sea Island finishing in second place. He won the Junior Peach Blossom Championship in Macon and the Forest Heights Junior Classic in Statesboro last week.

“ It was really wet last week and I knew I had to hit the ball on the green and give myself a putt because that is what I have really focused on is my putting.” The left-handed 12 years old Toole said.

“I put in a lot of hard work and practice. I have a God given talent that God gave me and I try to work at it.” Toole said.

Jackson will try to qualify this Friday at the Drive Chip and Putt Championship at the First Tee in Augusta and move on to the next round in August at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Duluth for a chance to compete next spring at the Augusta National the Sunday before The Masters. The top two golfers in his age group will get that opportunity.

“ I have one event coming up at the Brunswick Country Club on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour on July 29-30th and I hope to win it.” Toole said.

Jackson Toole is the son of Johnathan and Holly Toole of Lyons. He will be in the 7th grade this school year at JR Trippe Middle School.
