Image"After an incredibly successful first year of athletics, Vidalia Heritage Academy has hired Bobby George as its Athletic Director. Bobby comes to VHA with an impressive resume that covers the gamut of athletics as well as academics. He has served in the Toombs County School system for 31 years teaching History and Government. He has also served as an Associate Professor of History at Brewton-Parker College for 14 years teaching United States History and World Civilizations.

"During his tenure at Toombs County he coached Cross Country and Baseball, and served as a Huddle Leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He also coached Quiz Bowl Teams, sponsored the Chess Club, History Club, and Student Council, and led the Key Club program.

"In addition to his responsibilities as Athletic Director, Bobby will also teach AP US History, AP Government, as well as lead the Model Congress program that prepares students for the prestigious Harvard Model Congress each February."

" I've had 31 great years at Toombs Co and have had a lot of good relationships and I enjoyed that, but at this time I just believe that God wants me to take a new direction and do something a little differently, He opened the door for Vidalia Heritage Academy. I am thankful for the opportunity and will continue to teach just in a different direction." George said.
