" Like I told the kids the sun shines sometimes on the other team and you have to tip your hat to them, they are a good ballclub and they hit the ball well. We made some mistakes and they took advantage. We are a younger team with a majority of 9 year olds and a few 8 year olds, but we hung in there with them and battled until the end. I am proud of our guys, anytime you can represent your community in an onion tournament named for this city, it's always a good thing to be proud of and nothing to hang their head about." Coach Johnny Whited said.

" We had a great day weather wise, a perfect day. We had a lot of parents, grandparents and the park was full. I am very proud of our local Vidalia team that came in second place losing only to Pierce Co. It was just a great day and a fun day for youth baseball." Vidalia Recreation Director Tommy Sasser said.
