Area Career Expo

April 13-- The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Vidalia Career Center, along with Southeastern Technical College and the Glennville Chamber of Commerce, will sponsor a career expo Thursday, April 25, in Glennville.

The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Glennville National Guard Armory, located at 1200 East Barnard St., which is off Highway 144 East.  

The expo will feature a number of employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring, while others will discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. And, other organizations will provide educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for job openings. 

Among those expected to participate in the event are CAOTTI, Clyde’s Market, Department of Juvenile Justice, Diamond Services, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Georgia State Prison, Primerica, Right From the Start Medicaid, Selec-Source, Telamon Corporation, Tri-County Clinic, Troy University, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corp, and Young Harris College.
