March 4--The Lady Indian golf team competed in the Red Terror Ryder Cup on Jekyll Island Saturday.  The format for the tournament was a two person scramble.  Katie Dalton and Layne Carter tied for second with a score of 68 and finished 3rd in the playoff.  Camilla Frost and Cassidy Long scored a 93.  The winner of the tournament was Glynn Academy with a score of 67.

 

" They played really well, it is a great tournament to kickoff the season. We were the smallest school in classification at the tournament, the teams that beat us were 5A and 6A schools." Coach Chad Barker said.

 

" We have a mixture of players on the team this season, three juniors, two sophmores and one freshman and no seniors. I am looking for leadership to come from my three juniors who have been here with me for three years." Barker said.

 

The VHS Lady Indian Golf team will compete this weekend at the Georgia Club Invitational in Athens.
