January 29--The Vidalia Heritage Academy Wrestling Team competed this past weekend at West Laurens High School, in Dublin. The team performed very well at the tournament.

" They did well, there was a 166 wrestlers at the tournament, the hardest tournament as far as competition that we will face all year. I really didn't expect from a first year team a whole lot of showing from our guys, and I was pleasantly suprised with the outcome. We came away with 9 medals, so we are pleased with that, and pleased with the effort, and pleased that the kids are getting better every week, and with the overall performance with the program." Coach Chester Proctor said.

" We will head down to Fitzgerald High School this Saturday, the competition may not be as strong as we have seen this past weekend, but still it is going to be tough, and we are looking forward to an all day event in Fitzgerald. We will have two weekends off and that will get us prepped for the state qualifier in East Laurens, and then the state tournament for the big kids, and the little kids after that in March." Proctor said.
