January 18- Shane Williamson has resigned as head coach of the Toombs Co Bulldogs football team. After spending five seasons as head coach of his alma mater, Williamson has accepted the head coaching position at Forsyth Central in Cumming, Ga. Williamson's record at Toombs Co was 24-29.

Williamson is also the assistant principal at Toombs County High School and was recently assigned the additional duty of assistant principal at Toombs County Middle School.

School Superintendent Dr. Kim Corley says she is working out details on when Williamson will leave his administrative duties.  Meanwhile, she reports a search will begin right away for a new head football coach.
